Koblentz & Penvose, LLC is a general practice, downtown Cleveland law firm. Our attorneys understand the importance of the high degree of trust which a client places in an attorney representing that client’s interests.
We pride ourselves on the quality of the representation which we provide to our clients which includes maintaining close communication with our clients, dedicating the time necessary to properly represent their interests and presenting our clients with all of their available legal options so that they can make informed decisions about their matters.
Our firm’s founder and majority partner, Richard Koblentz, is an experienced litigator of over 40 years, who has served as a tenacious advocate on behalf of our clients in courtrooms across Ohio at the federal, state and municipal court levels. In representing our clients’ interests, our office believes in taking a result-oriented, pragmatic approach in providing options to our clients in attempting to resolve their legal matters.
We prefer to find the best solutions for our clients which will help them avoid litigation, if possible, along with the time and expense which can accompany the litigation process.
We are the lawyer’s lawyer. A large percentage of our practice is spent representing lawyers, judges and bar applicants. Those matters include issues of attorney discipline, disqualification, ethical conflicts of interest, compliance with the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct and the Ohio Rules for the Government of the Bar.
Our experience in the areas of legal ethics and professional responsibility has led to our firm also being retained, in numerous matters, as an expert witness delivering professional opinions relating to a wide array of issues. This is one of the fastest growing areas of our practice.
In addition to our primary practice area of professional responsibility and legal ethics, our firm practices in the areas of complex civil litigation, contract law, small business, corporate, real estate, general and white collar criminal defense, domestic relations, family, juvenile, probate and employment law.
